STAGE 1

Following a successful audition at STAGE 1 - the applicant will be invited to enrol within UKTheatreSchool Performing Arts Academy onto our Mainstream Program (students can progress onto other courses following enrolment and assessments)

STAGE 2 – ENROLMENT

Following the Audition Stage; successful applicants will attend an Enrolment Day or Evening. Enrolment Days are set aside for parents and new students to enjoy some light refreshments, to pay Enrolment Fees and Course Deposits as well as collect the students’ new UKTheatreSchool Uniform. This Enrolment time also allows the new student and their parents to familiarise themselves with UKTheatreSchool staff, premises and ask any questions they feel necessary.

There is usually an Induction Talk from our Principal or Senior Staff as well as a guided tour and some short performances from some of our existing students. New Students and their parents are advised to allow for around 1.5 hours for this Enrolment.

**Enrolment Fee:
**Enrolment Fees for 2010/2011 for each new student £99.00

***Course Deposit for 2010/2011 for each new student £30.00

***Course Deposit
This deposit is refundable when a student leaves UKTheatreSchool provided the student and parent meets with the Terms and Conditions of UKTheatreSchool (these can be found on our Terms and Conditions page)

STAGE 3 - TERM FEES
All fees are payable in advance before entering lessons. Fees are determined annually by our Academy Directors at their December meeting. The Directors reserve the right however; to respond to needs by changing the fees at any time. Fees for session 2010/11 will be as follows:

PAYMENT OPTION 1 --- Mainstream Program - A three-discipline course of Acting Singing and Dance will cost  £15.00 per 3 hour day (£5.00 per hour) from August 2010.  Payments are monthly in advance (unless otherwise arranged).

PAYMENT OPTION 2 --- Bi-annual - Many parents choose to pay bi-annually - in two term blocks - July - December & January - June (this is optional). There is a 5% discount for paying bi-annually in advance.  Payments for July to December must be paid by 30th June and payments for January to June must be paid by 30th December.

PAYMENT OPTION 3 --- Annual - Some parents choose to pay for course annually (this is optional).  There are 10% discounts on annual payments.

Please note:   There is a further 25% discount when students combine Advanced Courses with Musical Theatre Courses - please enquire for details.

CAN I PAY AN ANNUAL FEE AND AVOID MONTHLY PAYMENTS? YES, AND AT A REDUCED COST

Annual Fees Reduction for August 2010 to July 2011.

Some parents chose to pay annually to avoid making monthly and to take advantage of the discount. The details are as follows: There is a reduced set fee for an annual payment. Over our 45 week year the weekly payments would amount to £675.00.  The Annual fee paid in advance has the benefits of a 10% discount if paid annually in advance. Parents wishing their child to be involved in extra lessons within the academy can also pay for these classes on a monthly or annual basis. Each class may vary in price; please enquire about individual lessons.

Can I Pay Weekly?
Parents who wish to pay weekly can do so however; there is an increased cost of £1 per week to take advantage of weekly payments and the students must remain one month in advance.  Over our 45 week year the weekly payments would amount to £720.00 for Main Stream Courses (£16 per week over 45 weeks). Again; parents wishing their child to be involved in extra lessons within the academy can also pay for these classes on a weekly, termly or annual basis (weekly payments are always £1 extra and payable 4 weeks in advance). Each class may vary in price; please enquire about individual lessons.

FEE REDUCTIONS – YOUTH PROGRAM

There is no automatic reduction in fees for younger brothers and sisters. This Performing Arts Academy has a long history of drawing pupils from a wide range of social and economic backgrounds. Some families with one child need help with fees while other families with several children can afford fees for each child. UKTheatreSchool believes it is fairer, and more consistent with its admissions policy, to provide help with fees on the basis of need in individual cases. Fee help is continually screened and not everyone applying for a help can be granted a reduction. These decisions are based on school budgets.

SCHOLARSHIPS – YOUTH PROGRAM

Scholarships have been granted in the past however; it is UKTheatreSchool’s policy to only grant a scholarship to an existing student who has been with our school for no less than 6 months. This is to establish ability and dedication. The amount offered in a scholarship is calculated in each individual case with the family involved in the discussions of what they can reasonably afford and what the school will contribute. This settlement is reviewed each year. In some cases a full scholarship may be granted.

OTHER FEES

For costings on other courses other than Main Stream Courses please click into their specific tabs and there should be an outline of all fees.  If you have any questions regarding any fee structure please do not hesitate in contacting the theatre school on 0141 332 5192.

PENALTIES FOR LATE PAYMENTS

There is a penalty of £2 per week per late fee added to late fees.  These penalties are implemented to fees from 1st February 2010.

CHEQUES

We no longer accept cheques (from 1st Feb 2009) however; any fee arrears paid by cheque would be accepted provided there has been an agreement made to accept the cheque.  Cheques returned from the bank informing us that there were 'insufficient funds' to clear the cheque or in the event that a cheque is ‘stopped’ a £40 penalty will be added to the cheque amount along with any other £2 weekly penalties accrued over the duration of the fees remaining unpaid.  A cheque returned from the bank has a cost for UKTheatreSchool and has further administrative costs for the theatre school therefore; this is the reason why there is a cost for 'unpaid' cheques.

It is unfortunate that these penalties have to be in place however; to avoid a misuse of the cheque system or using our ‘good will’ to delay paying on time we have felt it necessary to implement penalties to reduce the growing amount of fee arrears.

If you find you are likely to fall behinds with fees please contact us immediately to arrange a suitable payment method which should, in turn, prevent penalties.
