UKTheatreSchool Uniform
At UKTheatreSchool Part-time Performing Arts Academy all students wear full uniform while attending classes or professional work (uniform list at the foot of this page).
We expect all our students to adhere at all times to our uniform and general appearance requirements. Persistent failure to comply with the following rules could result in suspension and possibly expulsion of a student.
Students must remember that when they are outside school and in uniform they are ambassadors for the school and their appearance and behaviour must reflect our high expectations.
In general we expect all students to be tidy, well presented and proud of their appearance whilst in UKTheatreSchool uniform.
UKTheatreSchool Uniform is available from the UKTheatreSchool Merchandise Shop 4 West Regent Street Glasgow.
There is also availability of some uniform items such as tap shoes and character shoes etc from Dancia International 199 Great Western Road Glasgow.
UKTheatreSchool students are entitled to a 10% discount off all goods within Dancia International.
All uniform should be clearly labelled with name tags, including shoes.
Students MUST have ALL the appropriate uniform and equipment
to enable them to attend their classes.
Professional work must be attended in correct UKTheatreSchool uniform for the day.

UKTheatreSchool management reserve the right to change the uniform. Notice of this would be given in advance.
UKTheatreSchool Uniform
All part-time students must wear the following uniform to all classes unless otherwise stated:
Mainstream Classes Acting / Singing / Dance
· UKTheatreSchool Sweatshirt (optional – although no other outer sweatshirts or pullovers can be worn)
· UKTheatreSchool T-shirt (UKTheatreSchool Dance vests are acceptable in all classes however; during outings or uniformed performances these can only be worn with plain back t-shirts underneath).
· Black Dance Trousers (cotton/lycra) – these trousers should be plain black and have no logos. Please ask if you are unsure
· Plain Black split soled Jazz Shoes
· Hair should be neatly tied back where appropriate
· No loose jewellery
Advanced 1, 2 & 3 Course
· UKTheatreSchool Sweatshirt (optional – although no other outer sweatshirts or pullovers can be worn)
· UKTheatreSchool T-shirt (UKTheatreSchool Dance vests are acceptable in all classes however; during outings or uniformed performances these can only be worn with plain back t-shirts underneath).
· Black Dance Trousers (cotton/lycra) – these trousers should be plain black and have no logos. Please ask if you are unsure.
· Black Advanced Stream Leotards
· GIRLS – White or Black footless leggings
· GIRLS & BOYS – Black shorts
· GIRLS – Capezio pink leather ballet pumps
· BOYS – Black leather ballet pumps
· Plain Black split soled Jazz Shoes
Plain Black Tap Shoes (from Dancia International or other dancewear shops only)
· Hair should be neatly tied back where appropriate
· No loose jewellery
Musical Theatre Junior, Intermediate & Senior Masterclasses
· UKTheatreSchool Sweatshirt (optional – although no other outer sweatshirts or pullovers can be worn)
· UKTheatreSchool T-shirt with red Masterclass lettering (UKTheatreSchool Dance vests are acceptable in all classes however; during outings or uniformed performances these can only be worn with plain back t-shirts underneath).
· Black Dance Trousers (cotton/lycra) – these trousers should be plain black and have no logos. Please ask if you are unsure.
· Black branded Leotards
· GIRLS – White or black footless leggings
· GIRLS & BOYS – Black shorts
· GIRLS – Capezio pink leather ballet pumps
· BOYS – Black leather ballet pumps
· Plain Black split soled Jazz Shoes
· Hair should be neatly tied back where appropriate
· No loose jewellery

Finally –the correct uniform is a very important part of the overall training and thinking. Students or parents in any doubt of what they should be purchasing should ask a member of our staff where we will be only too happy to help.

Rental Items
Students arriving for classes without the correct uniform can hire rental items for £1 per item (a pair of dance shoes is classed as one item). Rental items include tops, trousers and dance shoes. These items must be returned at the end of the lessons or a full week’s rental will be billed. Failure to wear the correct uniform will result in a student not being allowed to participate in classes for that day. Failure to return items by week two will result in the student or parent being billed for the full price of the items plus the previous week’s rental charges. This notice is without exception and without prejudice.
