Open Audition Day Process

Pre-school Auditionees (4-5 years)

The online audition process for pre-school auditionees should be relaxed and fun.  Perhaps record the auditionee performing their favourite song, nursery rhyme or poem that they would like to show the panel.  Let them know that we are very excited to see them perform and to be smiley and happy while they perform.

Junior, Middle & Senior School Auditionees (6-18+ years)

The audition process for Junior, Middle & Senior School auditionees should be relaxed and enjoyable! Auditionees can perform a monologue/speech up to 1-minute long and/or prepare a verse and chorus of a song of their choice. They can also show dance/movement if they wish.

Please remember that this is your audition so, if you wish, you can show all three disciplines (acting, singing and dance) or just the ones you feel most confident at showing.  Once you have recorded your audition pieces, remember to add your name and age to the recording and then send it off to us, along with your audition form that we will have sent to you to complete.  You should send the completed recordings and your form to auditions@uktheatreschool.com – it is that easy!

All Auditionees

On your Audition Form, you can state the level (beginner, intermediate or advanced) that you are currently within acting, singing and dance.  You can also outline the course(s) that you hope to gain placement within.

For each auditionee, there is a refundable £5.00 audition fee.  If successful in gaining a place at UKTheatreSchool, this will be refunded at the Enrolment stage.  Auditions booked through Eventbrite will also have the audition fee refunded by UKTheatreSchool at the Enrolment stage.

For more information or to book your audition, please email auditions@uktheatreschool.com.

*Please note: Audition fees are refundable on enrolment. Audition fees can also be waived prior to the audition, in certain circumstances. Applicants can apply in advance to have a free audition where affordability may pose a problem. There are also full and part-time scholarships available on all courses. For any further information please email info@uktheatreschool.com or funding@uktheatreschool.com.

Following enrolment, all donations to UK Theatre School SCIO go towards our aims and objectives – to help disadvantaged talented young people get involved in performing arts. Donations go towards young people training and progressing onto further education within performing arts.
