Musical Theatre Courses are aimed at focused students with a strong vocal ability, hoping to carve out a career in the musical theatre industry. The courses cover Acting, Singing and Dance (within Musical Theatre), as well as other related vocational subjects.

These students attend between 6 hours and 11 hours per week, depending on the Musical Theatre course chosen, and can be involved in many high-profile events and performances, as well as being automatically involved in our Summer and Christmas Productions each year.

Our Musical Theatre Academies are available on the following days:

Intermediate Musical Theatre 6 hours per week P5 through to S6+ Tuesday & Wednesday
Advanced Musical Theatre 11 hours per week S4 through to S6+ Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday

Entry Requirements

Every potential student must complete the audition process. For Musical Theatre Courses, applicants would attend an Open Audition Day or Private Audition. On successful completion of the first audition, a callback / second audition may be required. Previous experience is not necessary however, regular attendance, a willingness to work hard alongside commitment and dedication are essential.

NB: All classes are composite and classes are grouped in accordance with age and/or ability.

After initial Enrolment, payments for all UKTheatreSchool courses can be made annually in advance, over 12 months or over 10 months.


*Please note: Any donations to UK Theatre School SCIO go towards our aims and objectives – to help disadvantaged young people get involved and train in performing arts.  Our hopes are for many to progress onto further education in the arts.  There are some full and part-time scholarships available on all courses for disadvantaged young people.  For any further information please email or
