TRINITY COLLEGE LONDON

Trinity College London is an international examination board offering graded and diploma qualifications in music. Examinations are held across a large network of exam centres worldwide. Trinity College London, established in 1872, is a leading internationally recognised awarding organisation, publisher and independent education charity. Trinity College London specialises in the assessment of communicative and performance skills covering music, drama, combined arts and English language.

They offer:

  • A wide range of exam levels, catering for candidates of all standards
  • An exceptionally large portfolio of subjects
  • Accreditation by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual)
  • UCAS points towards university entry at Grades 6-8
  • A comprehensive catalogue of supporting publications

The aim of the exam syllabi we use is to promote and encourage knowledge, enjoyment, and experience of Acting, Music Theatre, and Singing, and to foster a deepening commitment to the development of the various skills, techniques, and disciplines demanded by the genre. A candidate who progresses through the grades to Grade 8 should have acquired a wide-ranging knowledge and experience of the various styles and types of performance covered by the syllabus. Thereafter, students can sit the ATCL Diploma, which is equivalent to a first-year degree-level qualification.

All Musical Theatre Course students have the option to be presented for Trinity College London examinations. All exams incur an additional cost, with the price varying depending on the grade. Trinity College London certification can contribute to a student’s UCAS points, ranging from Grade 6 to 8.

Here at UKTheatreSchool, we are an accredited private centre for Trinity College London examinations.
