Update April 2021
Due to recent changes to government legislation regarding return dates for schools, we have amended our timetable. To meet with the regulations and ensure continued training for our Junior, Middle and Senior School students, we will resume the successful delivery of lessons online after the Easter break. Online lessons will resume for one week on Monday 19 April until 25 April 2021. Thereafter, we are excited to be returning to in-person classes in our wonderful studios again from Monday 26 April 2021. We have a new and exciting lesson format for the new term and very much looking forward to seeing everyone.
We would like to thank everyone for reaching out to us and offering your continued support. It has overwhelmed us yet again and is so much appreciated. It genuinely proves just how important the arts are to you and your children.
A heartfelt thank you from all of the staff at UKTheatreSchool
Once we are back in our amazing building…
Using the latest state-of-the-art technology – we’re taking care…
To ensure we meet with Government guidelines and to protect our students, staff and visitors, in August we introduced these fantastic health and safety measures. Here you can see images of our colleague, Lorena, walking us through some of the new measures. Explanations below… feel free to share.
Everyone entering the building has their temperature taken by our state-of-the-art, high-end Dahua Thermal Temperature Station. It’s designed to make the process very easy and extremely accurate – just stand in front of the hi-tech scanner and this fantastic technology does the rest.
We’ve also installed state-of-the-art, high-end Airvia Medical Air Purifiers in every studio and throughout our building which can sanitise the air supply in as little as 5 minutes. These phenomenal systems put everyone’s mind at ease knowing that the air is purified and our students and their tutors can remain safe while doing what they love.
We ensure all studios are cleaned between classes and as well as cleaning, our maintenance team fully sanitise the studios using the latest hi-tech fogger machine along with our state-of-the-art Victory Electrostatic Anti-bacterial Sprayer which ensures maximum coverage of our disinfectant spraying.
We’ve installed extra hand sanitiser stations in EVERY studio and in all open spaces as well as in our toilets. We ask everyone to use the hand sanitisers on arrival, on entering/leaving each studio and when leaving the building.
In line with Government guidelines for Scottish schools, all students aged 12+ are asked to wear face coverings when they’re moving around the communal areas of our theatre school. This, of course, helps keep everyone safer. And just in case anyone arrives having forgotten their face covering, we provide all of our staff and students with complimentary masks. It couldn’t be easier!
We have implemented a revised timetable to allow for our students to arrive at staggered times throughout the whole week. We have ensured that only one class/age group arrives/leaves at any one time. This allows for the extremely smooth entry, and exit of small groups and this added safety measure means our students enjoy a structured yet chilled atmosphere when arriving and leaving the building.
We love our new approach as well as our high-end, state-of-the-art safety provisions. We install only the best for the very best results for our award-winning academy. Stay safe and healthy folks! We look forward to seeing you on your next visit.
